I

We used a shot from System of A Down - Chop Suey, which was a front shot of me walking in the forest, this is similar to the shots used in Chop Suey.

In addition a major part of the Officers video was close ups and extreme close ups of the star, especially in the narative parts. We used the types of shots they included in their video.

CAMERA WORK:

The main focus of the camera work was to focus on the main artist, we considered Steve Archer's theory about 'Star Image'. We needed to clearly represent the image of the artist. The main shot that was used to portay this was the close up, this constantly reminded the audience that the artist is the main focus of the video.

For example we used the close ups similar to those in the marilyn manson video, the beautiful people. Close ups of wierd objects such as teeth, worms, half naked bodies ect where used, we had close ups of skulls, crosees and religious imagery such as crosses.

Close ups are also used in the video by Mushroomhead - Soul is Mine. Close ups are used to build the tension and get imtinate with the viewer, we displyed this in our video in the perfromance sections.

The music video by Stabbing Westward - Save yourself does a very good job of giving of a star image. I took a lot of inspiration from the video from how I should perfrom and apporach the camrea as well as the shots I should use. There are many close ups of the star in this video and zooms in and out towards him. We also used blurred shots as featured in Save yourslef. These shots look great and fit with oir narrative and lyrics as it looks like the artists/character is fading away.

We also encouperated mirror shots into our video after watching Mushroomhead - Qwerty, I thought these shots looked really cool and developed this aspect by adding the narrative into these shots, with the blood of the person i just killed on my t-shirt while I sing into the mirrror.
