We used six main locations in our video and some secondary locations such as a graveyard and a field. The main locations in the video where a church, a kitchen (priests kitchen), the studio, a bathroom, a forest and a dark room.  Some of these locations where inspired by locations in other videos such as the church, bathroom (mirror scene), kitchen and studio, however some where original and matched the lyrics of our song, such as the church and the graveyard. We tried to mix locations we had seen and original ideas to make a visiaully interesting video that fitted the genre and created a good narrative and feel. Below I will display some conventional locations from other videos and see how they compare the locations we used.

The locations our video both use and challenge the conventions of our genre. We took inspiration from many videos in the genre in term of locations. The main theme's where dark and gloomy places such as forests, run down buildings ect. The lighting is usually low key. We chose to use a variety of locations instead of one like in other videos in our genre such as 'save our souls' and 'save yourslelf'. A number of different locations would make it more iteresting for the viewer and would help build the narrative. We took developed the ideas from many videos, by integrating locations together intoour video along with the narrative. We chose a variety of loacations and setting's to give different feels to the video, which macthed with the tone of the music at the time.
